Accomodations The original family house is the centerpiece of Los Inocentes. The hacienda dates back to 1890 and is fine example of early Costa Rica architecture featuring polished tropical hardwood construction and broad verandas which capture cool breezes and provide shelter from evening rains. The house was remodeled in 1989 to accommodate the needs of a modern hotel while at the same preserving the atmosphere of a welcoming family hacienda. The hacienda itself has 11 guest rooms accommodating from two to four persons, each with solar-heated hot water a short walk from each room. Also on the property are 12 new private cabins with solar-heated hot water. Cabins can accommodate from two to six persons each. The wide veranda surrounding the main floor and the second floor of the hacienda is furnished with comfortable chairs and hammocks, ideal for relaxing a few hours with a good book or for watching the magnificent sunsets that are daily event. Restaurant and Bar Services Our kitchen prepares three delicious meals per day for our guests, with a focus on the regional cuisine of Guanacaste. We use local ingredients with an emphasis on fresh tropical fruits and vegetables. Our meats, poultry and fish come from local suppliers ensuring the freshest foods possible. We re happy to accommodate vegetarians and special dietary requirements. Meals are served buffet-style or a la carte in both our spacious dinning room and on the hacienda terrace. We invite you to enjoy a cold beer, wine or mixed drink from our full-service bar after a long day of riding, hiking or just plain relaxing in a hammock.
